ok so I'm super excited about M.I.C.A! I can't wait to have a studio and space. I also checked out the art store next to the grad studio building and it is amazing. It is a real art supply store. with real art supplies. and it is cheap. omg I love it. The only thing that isn't great is the heat. I'm sweating so much. It looks sick. i look like I just got out of the shower all the time. like a really hot but not HOT shower. I feel weird. I have an interview today at 5 for G.I-ing a class. I hope I get the job because I would get paid and get teaching experience. Oh yeah

Ok so a lot of things have happened since I last posted. I am in BALTIMORE, living, breathing and going to grad school at M.I.C.A. It hasn't started yet, I had orientation yesterday. I really like all they people in the program with me. The city is beautiful and our apartment is great. We don't have internet yet. I am currently using a neighbors wifi signal. Tomorrow Comcast is coming so hopefully I will be able to upload and share pictures in a reliable manner. YAY. Life is good though i am super broke. super super broke. Need that fin aid.

so today is no doubt a ME day. I have it off. I am alone. I am chillin gave myself a pedicure. Got starbucks. I was thinking I might just hang out all day and chilllll 3000. you know max relax but there is so much stuff right down the street to do. Day parties music booze. For free. Oh man. I guess that most likely I will go out but damo. I thought I would just lay in bed. Temptation is hard. I want to check out Wavves and so Gerard's band. BTW the weather is amazing. Basically I'm writing this blog to formulate my ideas. Conclusion drawn?

I feel that performance for me is a way to free up and shake. Getting weird and getting stream of conscience is what I like to do. It makes life more interesting and it allows a certain level of control that is unattainable in any other form. I'm babbling. is that how you spell that?

Lisi Raskin came and spoke with us today. I have to say that she is the shit. the shat. awesome and great to listen to. Her work is refreshing and it is nice to hear someone talk earnestly about their work. Her interest focus around the cold war or war itself, but mainly to quite side of war. The personal and separated feelings and obligations, fears and aesthetics. I have a crit today. I also have a phone interview with Portland State on sunday which I'm really excited about. I feel charged up which makes it hard for me to read what I'm suppose to or study for my silly geo class. I am going to channel a geologist for the test tomorrow. it's worked before.

mobile blogging

I've been trying to do the mobile blogging on my ipod but it hasn't worked. I think because I changed all my passwords recently, but well whatever. Omg things have been busy. And school hasn't even started yet. I successfully sent my application to Berkeley and NAT. Tomorrow Colorado and Boston. I decided to not apply to Yale cause it was too much of a pain in the butt, plus I don't want to live in New Haven, even if it means to have a fancy degree, that is to say if I even got in. I'm totally ace on time management lately though it is a torn in my procrastinating side. Sometimes you wanna throw three sheets to the wind and watch t.v all day. Or draw pictures of rainbows on notebook paper. Now it all work, and some specific rationed out play time. Next semester I'm going to take performance art, so that will be fun. yep. better go I guess.

Three Publication Party

Last night was really interesting. I think I will blog about it here at work as i sit updateing computers. The story... I got there right on time and started working. I felt really awkward. There were all these design types, in black with glasses interested in me as a sort of artistic oddity, or spectical. I guess it was a spectiical cause it was for peoples entertainment. Don't get me wrong I had a lot of fun. The other guys got there and we started to work, they knew each other so I was the odd one out, but we started to gel or whatever. Right when we reached a really great flow this random lady comes up and starts to paint. Her style is completely different from our street influenced outsider type painting shit. It totally put the brakes on the momentium we built. The other dudes bounched and I held down the fort. I didn't want a complete take over. It was a really interesting experience because it's not easy. It's hard work to colab with people and have it work out. It seems that outsiders look at the work as easy and feel "they can do it/put in their mark" But they fuck it up. Later in the night I had to be a bitch to these two people cause we've had been working on it for 3 hours and then this guy wanted to join in. It wasn't a free for all. I busted my ass yesterday to get my shit together to make it work. I stood in front of a large crowd (compelete with my social awkwardness) and painted non-stop for 3 hours. I wouldn't want to impose on someone like that. Oh well...whatever. It was still fun. and now I have a awesome new painting on my wall. and a book with my drawing in it. and the good feeling of friends who supported me and a new found inspiration for painting! yay! picks on my Flickr

I had a really great time tonight. It was a good change of pace to paint and colab with people. I'm glad that mason hooked me up with this event. I'm tired and wish I could sleep in tomorrow. Oh well. Life is fun. Art is funnest. Glad to do it

Two Art Events Thursday Night!

So I am going to have work in two events Thursday. Gallery Lombardi is going to have some of my Mongies and I'm going to be "Live Painting" for the screamer company release of the publication THREE which I will also have stuff in. yep. Things are so busy. I just googled my name a little while ago and found a short review for the Birdhouse show etsy austin blog
that was cool. It's funny cause the gallery hung my painting a different way, but I liked it that way. I don't know. All this stuff can be confusing at times. You really open yourself up to stuff, and there are so many questions. And when you barely can make rent you wonder if your actions could effect you in different ways for better for worst. This weekend was awesome. my hard work finally paid off and i could relax for a weekend. I'm applying to grad school and it is stressing me out. It seems like every school wants something a little different, and it gets jumbled in my mind like craziness. I'm in a zone of crazy/determined/cooking madness/cat awesomeness and my RAM is completely full. so i'm forgeting things left and right. (we sort of) I've backed up my hard-drive on multiple colored papers, which clutter everything around me. Not to mention I have to study. ahhhhhhhhhhh.... oh well here is a pic. send me energy.
